EDIT TEXT

Editing your website text is easy and you can probably figure it out without these instructions, but just so you have something to refer to here's our step by step guide.

 

Login to your website and click on the page you wish to edit text on either by clicking on the page in the site menu or if the page is hidden from the site menu then scroll through your website pages using the drop down page menu where you see Page: ... (right side of top toolbar).

 

 

Edit your website text

 

Click on the text you wish to edit. You can now see the text box around the outside of the text and you can click on the text inside the text box and use your keypad to change, add or remove text. Click save.

 

 

Add new text to your web page

 

Click on Insert in the top toolbar. In the left sidebar choose between Body text (for paragraphs) or Title text (for titles). Click on either and a new text box will appear on your page. Double click inside the text box to insert your text. Click once on the text box and use your mouse to drag the box into the correct place on your web page. Click save.

 

 

Style your website text (make it look pretty or match other text)

 

Double click on the text you wish to edit to highlight the text box. The Editor pop up box will appear on the page and inside it you will see Info, Font, Style, Link. With the text you wish to edit still highlighted click on Font to style your text.

 

Change Font Style: Highlight the text inside the text box that you want to change the style of. Click on the cross on the right side of the current font name, a pop up box with all available fonts will appear. Scroll through and choose the font you want. Click 'Ok'. Click save.

 

Change Font Size: Highlight the text you want to change the size of. In the editor box delete the current size and type in the new size (12, 13, 14, 15 is recommended for paragraphs, 20, 30, 40... is a typical size for titles). Click return on your keypad. The size will be updated.

 

Change Font Color: Follow the same steps as above but click on the coloured square to see all of the different color options available.

 

Line Spacing: Your website line spacing is often set from 0 up to 6 or 8. (0 = your text lines are close together, 8 = your text lines have a small gap between them). When you add new text to your site or edit existing text its likely that you will need to refresh the line spacing. Highlight all of the text inside the text box. Click on the number next to 'Line Spacing' in the Editor box and type in the line spacing you want. Click return. Click save.

 

Change text alignment: The bottom of the Editor box has your text alignment options. Click on your preferred option. Click save.

 

Bold (B), Underline (u) & Italics (I): See the bottom right of the Editor box. Highlight the word, sentence or paragraph you wish to edit and then click on the appropriate symbol. Click save.

 

 

Add a link in your text

 

You can link your text, a word, sentence or more to another page of your website or to a different website entirely. To do this highlight the text you wish to add a link to. In the Editor box click on Link and you will see 6 link options.

 

Link text to another website: Click the 1st earth symbol and type in after the http:// the website address you want to link to. Click Apply. Click save.

 

Link text to a page in your website: Click the 2nd page symbol. Select the web page you wish to link to. Click Apply. Click Save.

 

Link text to an email address: Click the 4th envelope symbol. Type in the email address you wish to link to. Click Apply. Click Save.

 

 

How to delete text

 

To delete text within a text box but not the text box itself, highlight the text you wish to delete and then click delete on your keypad.

 

To delete the text box (this will also delete all text inside) click on the text box so that it is highlighted and click on the Trash Can in the top toolbar. Click save.
